Building
a quality mold is one key to producing quality parts. More importantly,
preventative measures, proper utilization and care of those molds can
be vital to the extent of its life and overall performance.
Team PPI offers repair and preventative maintenance programs for dies
and molds. Our experienced mold repair group also known as the Rapid
Response Team provides the following Preventative Maintenance and Repair
Services:
It
is a known fact that proper maintenance on equipment can mean the difference
between profit and loss for any company. The documentation and measurement
of changes, to dies and molds, over time can demonstrate significant knowledge
about the care they are receiving and thus predicating their life and productivity.
Being able to document the current condition of dies and molds then benchmarking
the changes over time can deliver huge savings by heading off costly repairs
to the equipment before it is too late.
Many times molds and dies are owned by the owner of the product for which
it manufactures. The molds and dies are then “run” by a custom
manufacturer. The maintenance points can easily slip past the scheduled
“PM” time, often allowing the lack of proper lubrication to
shorten the life of these tools. More importantly with out taking the time
to critically view the current condition of the tools and comparing the
changes over time, one has no way of evaluating the true expected life of
the tool. Planned inspection by highly experienced Tool and Die Makers can
identify a small problem early in its development and help head off big
issues later.
Our PM Services are a standardized, cost effective approach to improving profitability by keeping a skilled eye on the really little things that can make a really big difference.
