Roundmate® is a customizable interchangeable insert molding system. This system is used by companies interested in reducing tooling cost and increasing their speed to market for manufacturing similar parts, common materials and small batch quantity molding which can benefit from the systems quick mold change advantages. The system also lends itself to rapid prototyping as well as high cavitation and high volume molding.RoundMate® was patented by Ron Pleasant in 1987. The systems are manufactured as a production item at Team PPI and are marketed and sold to the plastics industry either as a standard tooling system or customized by PPI for specific manufacturing systems.
